Donate LGBT+ Inclsuive Books & Resources to UK Primary Schools
How would your story be different if there had been LGBT+ inclusive books at your primary school?
With your help, we can combat LGBT+ prejudice before it develops...
Become a Patron, and we will donate one, two, three or more of our LGBT+ inclusive books, on your behalf, to a UK primary school EVERY month! You'll receive monthly updates, amongst other fun rewards!
Or, if you'd prefer, you can simply make a One-Off Donation and help fund book donations, author visits, school workshops and even teacher training.
However you decide to get involved, your donation will also help us with organisational costs - allowing us to continue producing vital LGBT+ educational resources for children, parents, teachers and carers.
OUR ULTIMATE GOAL is to ensure that every UK primary school has at least one LGBT+ inclusive Pop'n'Olly book in their school. Now that's a lot of schools (22,230 to be exact!) but thanks to so many generous individuals and organisations we've already been making a huge impact...
14069 BOOKS DONATED
ACROSS 4894 SCHOOLS
Since our 'Pride in Primary' campaign began in 2019, we have donated books to 4894 UK primary schools. While these donations alone serve an estimated 1.4 million children at any one time, our true impact is far wider.
Because a new cohort of students joins every year, we estimate that over 2 million children have already benefited from our donations - a number that will continue to grow as each new generation of readers starts school. These figures reflect our book donations alone, and don’t even account for the millions of additional children reached through our direct sales.
Our school database keeps us on track and helps us to see which schools have already received books and which schools need them! If you have questions about a specific school or area email us at info@popnolly.com.
HOW BOOK DONATIONS WORK
When you help us send books to primary schools, we gift them to the PSHE Lead, Headteacher or Literacy Lead alongside a letter explaining why they are receiving this gift, plus information about our organisation.
These donations not only contribute towards the eradication of LGBT+ bullying, but they also allow us to build trusting relationships with schools, where we can have a long-term impact.
