DISCRIMINATION & THE EQUALITY ACT ASSEMBLY (30 mins) (KS2)

This KS2 assembly explores discrimination, what it means and how it appears in everyday life. It introduces the Equality Act (2010) and the 9 protected characteristics, encouraging the children to discuss what they think about the law and possible changes or improvements. The session ends by explaining the difference between equity and equality and their role in inclusion. It supports current RSE guidance through teaching respect and understanding of the law.

EXPLORING DIFFERENCE (30 mins) (KS1/LKS2)

Step into a magical world where dragons, trolls, fairies and many other creatures all live side by side! Join us as we dip into our brand new book, Fairy Tale Town, and meet its very different residents.

How can they all be so different but all live together? What happens when they don't agree? Children will be invited to discuss and share their ideas as we explore what it means to have a voice, and learn how to get along together.​​​
